After breaking the British transfer record paying £59 million pounds for Angel Di Maria to sign the Argentine winger from Real Madrid, Manchester United might be considering selling the 27 year old to PSG after a difficult debut season. In respect of that Manchester United coach Louis Van Gaal is set to hold crunch talks with the Argentine when he returns to the squad.
The former Madrid player is expected to join the team soon after being given an extended holiday due to his participation in the just concluded Copa America tournament. Louis Van Gaal will be hoping that the future of Di Maria will be resolved as quickly as possible in the best interests of both parties.
Angel Di Maria has not had the best of starts to his Manchester United career for a player of his standards. Reports coming out of England that he and his family have struggled to settle in England which may be the reason for his poor performances last season.
As things stand Manchester United have lined Barcelona winger Pedro as Di Maria’s replacement in the event that Di Maria leaves for PSG with reports stating that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs for the Spanish winger. However many United fans may not take the possible departure of Angel Di Maria too well as they believe the winger still has more to offer the club.
Despite being not close to his best last season the winger notched up 10 assists out of 51 chances created and many might argue that the Argentine winger should be given another season to prove himself and should not be judged based on his performances in one season. Whichever way the case may be in the next couple of days we will find out where Di Maria will be plying his trade next season.
