Luis Suarez Reveals to Jamie Carragher: I will Return to Liverpool

Luis Suarez has recently stated that the only team he would return to the Premier League is Liverpool, his former club. The Uruguay international scored a total of 82 goals in all competitions for Liverpool and a total of 30 goals in his final season at Anfield.

He joined Barcelona in 2014, for a fee of £75 million. Despite Lionel Messi being the main man, he and Neymar have cemented their place in the first team, becoming a formidable attacking trio in all of Europe.

In the 77 games he has played for Barcelona so far, he has netted a staggering number of 61 goals.

Suarez is enjoying his time at Barcelona, but in an interview with Jamie Carragher he accepted that he misses the atmosphere and the unpredictability of the Premier League.

He said, ‘In the Premier League you never really know what is going to happen. There is very little between the teams. Here, three or four teams aside, there is a difference with the smaller teams.

‘I don’t mean this to sound disrespectful but there are some games where you look at the press and they are asking: “Let’s see how many goals Barcelona are going to score today.”

‘In the Premier League, you never know what is going to happen and that is something I miss.’
Suarez is happy at Barcelona and there is no chance in recent times that he would leave Barcelona for Liverpool. Perhaps in the future, this might be possible.
