LVG Hints At 6ft 4in Star’s Transfer, Player Also Hints At Move

Manchester United boss, Louis van Gaal is hoping to find a buyer for Manchester United second goalkeeper, Anders Lindegaard following the arrival of former Barcelona goalkeeper, Victor Valdes to the Old Trafford.

Victor Valdes signed an 18-month contract with United on Thursday and van Gaal has asked Lindegaard to look elsewhere to ply his trade with some other club.

The arrival of Valdes to the club means that Lindegaard has lost his second choice position to the new goalkeeper and may actually be on his was out of the club to feel relevant elsewhere.

LVG, when asked about the future of Lindegaard at the club, the Dutch responded: “I think that he [Victor Valdes] fits more in the profile that I have of a goalkeeper and that’s it.”

The Danish goalkeeper joined United in 2010 for a fee of £3.5 but has failed to earn the trust of the clubs’ managers since his arrival.

Third choice goalkeeper, Ben Amos will likely join Lindegaard in search of a new club as well as opportunities to feature for the club seem highly unlikely after the purchase of Victor Valdes.

Amos has been at the club over a decade but has never really found the opportunity to get a run of games behind De Gea and Edwin van der Sar while Lindegaard only got regular opportunities under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Lindegaard, however posted a cryptic message on his Instagram page with a picture, showing himself and his team mates training. The Danish goalkeeper posted alongside the picture: “Training today #mufc #manchesterunited #workhard #silenceisbetterthanbulls**t”.

The post on his Instagram page may look defiant to Dutch manager but the fact still remains that Lindegaard’s hope of a first team football is quite impossible as Valdes has been added to the list of goalkeepers at the club.

Lindegaard has not played a single minute of first-team football under Van Gaal and, and has most likely played his final match for Manchester United.

Victor Valdes will now look to challenge De Gea for the number one spot at Old Trafford and is expected to make his Manchester United debut later this month, when the Red Devils travel to League Two outfit Cambridge United in the FA Cup fourth round.

Newcastle is reported to be interested in the out-of-favour goalkeeper and van Gaal may likely listen to an offer for the goalkeeper if it comes.
