The need to bolster the team of Manchester United became apparent last night when they were thumped by newly promoted side Bournemouth City in the Premier League. Although, the squad of United have been heavily decimated by injuries, they have been lacking in depth in their attack and defence. United have now turned their sight of Algerian international and Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli, this is according to the Express.
Although they will face competition for the player’s signature, the Red Devils are also looking at a possible deal for Guillermo Varela that will see him join Napoli on a permanent basis.
United are understood to be want to take advantage of Gary Neville who was a former player for United and now a coach for Valencia to lure Feghoulli to Old Trafford. The 25-year-old Algerian is in the final year of his contract and United are looking to lure him to the Theatre of dreams.
United allowed Angel Di Maria off their radar but failed to secure Pedro who was his most probable replacement but they will now sign Feghouli in the stead of a Di Maria. Martial has been force to play from the wing but United are looking for a natural winger that will fit on the left wing and the aforementioned Algerian fits the bill.
Meanwhile, Varela has been a fringe player at United since returning from his loan spell at Real Madrid Castilla and the player is in the want of a move in other to get more playing time. He has featured once for United this season but it is highly unlikely that he will be allowed to leave giving the injury to Darmian and the injury susceptibility of United’s other players.
