Man Utd board shocked the world with this statement regarding Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United fans should not continue reading, especially those who loved Cristiano Ronaldo. He was a firm favourite at Manchester United and added flair to the team that has not been seen for some time at Old Trafford.

They received a princely fee from Real Madrid for the player and the rest is history. He went on to become one of the greatest players in the world, battling with Messi over the best footballer trophy.

Would United fans have him back at Manchester? Almost everyone would love to see him back but it never materialized. The Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, has recently revealed that he was tempted to cash in on the player in his last few contracted years.

The situation has slightly changed now because he signed a new contract with them worth a reported £16.5million per year, as mentioned in the daily mail. If he refuses to sign the extension, United chiefs have said they wouldn’t take him back to Old Trafford. Spanish sports page, Don Balon, say that United wouldn’t pay the stars huge wage bill in case he turned out to be a failure and was unable to repeat his previous successes.
Manchester United fans would certainly feel a little betrayed at this statement but it would not be the first time they have gone back on their word. Would Manchester United be crazy to pass on Ronaldo? Could he bring back trophies to the red half of Manchester?
