Man Utd eager to finalize deal for £ 200k-a-week Real Madrid superstar
Manchester United are looking to reignite their interest in want–away Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos. The 26-year-old German star could have joined the Red Devils had it not been for yet another blunder from Louis Van Gaal.
The Dutch pulled the rug on a proposed move two years ago. The hunt for Toni Kroos could signal the end of time for the Dutch manager with Jose Mourinho reportedly agreeing terms in principle.
However, with United sitting in an undesirable fifth place on the log; it begs the question whether Kroos will be looking to downgrade to the Europa League. Toni Kroos has been instrumental this campaign with 94% pass accuracy. The German star has created 54 chances for the Spanish side in the 30 La Liga outings and an additional 9 assist. However, the German has had a poor season in terms of goals.
It is believed that Kroos has been angling for a move away after asking his representatives to open talks with interested clubs. The German’s brother Felix Kroos has mentioned his brother’s desire to play in the Premier League with interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.
No doubt, his balance of play will suit the league. He has the quality to pick out a delicious ball and his reading of the game is one of the highest level.
Toni Kroos has spent less than 3 years with the Spanish giants having arrived from Bayern Munich for a bargain £20m in July 2014. Real Madrid are said to have a £35 million price tag on the dynamic midfielder. The Spanish giants are an active force in the market hence finding suitable replacement would be possible. Whether Real will let their star leave will have to be seen. Could Toni Kroos be on the move again, if so will United land their main man?
