Man Utd are tracking an Italian goalkeeper Mattia Perin as a possible replacement for David De Gea.
The Red Devils want to be prepared for the possibility of Spaniard goalkeeper leaving Old Trafford in the summer and has scouted the Genoa goalkeeper in recently.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that United scouts were present at Genoa’s game with Hellas Verona on Sunday, and a possible bid for the 23-year old might be on the cards.
The report also claims that United have asked Perin’s international teammate Matteo Darmian to inform the goalkeeper of United’s interest and sound out his interest in a move to Old Trafford.
Darmian moved to Old Trafford in a summer move from Serie A club Torino.
At 23 years of age, Perin is one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A and has already made his debut for the Italian national team.
