Man Utd officials met with AS Roma defender, Mourinho reportedly eager to sign him

Manchester United are leading the race to sign AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The reliable Italian journalist suggests that United official have already met the 24-year-old’s representatives.

It is claimed that United future manager Jose Mourinho is a fan of the player and has previously attempted to sign when he was in charge of Chelsea.

Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Greece international, but it appears that United are currently leading the race to sign the player. Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Roma center-back and he’s ready to sign him this summer.

Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The report claims that United are currently competing with Juventus for the signing of the Portuguese international.

Valencia are expected to sell their 22-year-old star in order to balance their books in the summer. Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Gomes but star midfielder prefers playing under Mourinho.

Jose Mourinho is a huge fan of central midfielder and wants to bring him to Old Trafford this summer. Gomes is currently waiting for the official confirmation of Mourinho job at Manchester United.
