Man Utd could hijack Arsenal’s move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to report. The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the French midfielder, but now they risk losing him to Premier League rivals.
Spanish publication Don Balon reports that United are planning to bring the 20-year old to Old Trafford in January.
The report claims that the Red Devils have already established a connection with the player’s representatives and are ready to offer him better terms than the Gunners to lure him to Old Trafford.
Rabiot has grown frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities at the Ligue 1 club, and he has been given assurance by United that he will play a key role in manager Louis Van Gaal’s plans this season.
The PSG midfielder currently finds himself behind the likes of Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi in the pecking order and has no hopes of cementing his place in the club’s midfield in the near future.
He has made only 13 league appearances for his club this season. United believes a £21m bid would be enough to convince PSG to sell their player.
