Manchester United Old Trafford

Manchester United confident of signing £70m-rated 36 goal striker

A cloud of Uncertainty hangs precariously over Manchester United over who precisely will be in charge of the Old Trafford club nest season following what has been a rather challenging 2015/2016 season for current manager Louis Van Gaal.

A number of high profile managers have been linked with the old Trafford job top among them Jose Mourinho and the possibility of assistant manager Ryan Giggs being promoted to the top job. However, amidst all this controversy and uncertainty, one thing is for sure, that a number of new faces and signings will be arriving at Old Trafford next season.

Whether current manager Louis Van Gaal stays or leaves, the need for strengthening the Manchester United squad cannot be over-looked. Key among the areas that need strengthening is the striking options at Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund’s prolific striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is among the strikers who are being linked with a move to Manchester United this summer. The Gabon International has been in superb form for the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund managing to net 36 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions this season.

The striker’s prolific form has drawn interest from some of Europe’s most powerful clubs among them Real Madrid and Manchester United. Manchester United has reportedly made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among their top transfer targets this summer and is willing to cough up to 70million pounds, Borussia Dortmund’s alleged asking price for their star striker.
With Manchester United’s current strikers struggling to hit top form the Old Trafford Club is highly expected to land the Gabon International striker should Borussia Dortmund decide to cash in on the striker.

However, Manchester United chances of landing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang depend on Real Madrid’s interest in the striker and whether the Spanish Giants will land their number one transfer target Robert Lewandowski.
