Manchester United News – World Record £110m Bid Made For Ronaldo, January Move Possible

According to Globo Esporte via The Mirror, French power house Paris Saint-Germain had a world record bid of £110 million for Cristiano Ronaldo rejected late in the summer. It is reported The Parisien will make yet another move for the former world footballer of the year in January.

The flamboyant Portuguese attacker had been the subject of transfer speculation linking him with a move to the French Champions early on in the summer transfer window but reports emerging from Brazil have it that the French side did bid for the player.

Despite having a bid rejected for the Real Madrid talisman, the aforementioned source have revealed that the French outfit are expected to return with another huge bid for the player next summer.

Despite turning 30, the fleet footed trickster has shown no signs that he is on the decline registering an impressive 48 goals in 35 La Liga matches last season. However, the superstar attacker has started the new season in umimpressive fashion according to his high standards failing to find the back of the net in his first two matches this season.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract running out this summer and his departure imminent, the Paris club would have a gaping hole in their squad that the Portuguese could fill. However, with Manchester United also interested in the services of their former player, a bidding war between the club is expected and he could reclaim his title as the most expensive player in the world from current team mate, Gareth Bale if a move materialises according to The Mirror.
