Manchester United On The Verge Of Signing 5ft 10in VERY VERSATILE Defender

As at last night, The Daily Mail reported that Celtic are closing in on a deal for Manchester United teenage full back, Saidy Janko. The 19-year old Swiss starlet has been rumoured to be closing in on a move to Scotland.

Janko joined United from FC Zurich under Moyes’ reign but has not been able to stake a first team place. He was only able to play for The Red Devils in the 4-0 League Cup defeat to MK Dons. He was sent on loan to Bolton for the second half of last season, but he prefers to move out for regular first team action.

Celtic are looking to improve their squad ahead of the new season, and they see the Under-19 Swiss defender as a good addition. The player know he is unlikely to feature in United boss, Van Gaal’s plans next campaign and will be looking forward to the move.

Janko, 19, whose preferred position is the right back can also operate as a right wing player. The reported deal may be announced within 48 hours, in The Daily Star words. The same source claimed that both clubs have been in touch and a deal is imminent. Man United, who have already secured the service of Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven, may soon be sanctioning the sale of the youngster.

The defender is known for his strength and pace. Meanwhile, United’s U-21 coach, Warren Joyce, however has words of praises for him, saying :“He’s certainly a powerful boy. There are lots of things he has got to improve on but he is strong, quick and can go past people”(Daily Mail).

Celtic will, therefore, get all these features and more from the youngster if they complete the deal.
