Manchester United On The VERGE Of Signing Two Times UCL Winner

Manchester United has been home to some of the best wingers in the world over the years. From Ryan Giggs to David Beckham and then on to Cristiano Ronaldo, all have mesmerized the Old Football Trafford faithful with their devilish trickery and rampaging play down the wings.

However, in recent years, the Red Devil supporters have had to make do with wingers of average quality in the form of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young among others. That is all set to change this season with United having signed highly rated Dutch prodigy Memphis Delay. But , if reports emerging in several British outlets are true, it seems Van Gaal is not done yet and will try to go for the jugular by signing another electric winger for the other flank.

The Daily Express have now reported that the Red Devils are all set to compete with  Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal for the signature of 27-year-old Barcelona forward Pedro, whose is allegedly disgruntled at the lack of opportunities at the Blaugrana and is prepared to listen to offers this summer.

Having already won every single trophy with club and country, and having been a regular in both setups for the last half decade, Pedro found himself in unfamiliar territory last season after being relegated to the bench following the arrival of Luis Suarez from Liverpool. Most of his appearances came from the bench as he failed to dislodge the preferred trio of MSN ,who guided Barcelona to the treble.

Earlier in the summer , all the signs pointed to his departure from the Camp Nou. Pedro’s frustration was discernible and top European clubs were queueing up for his signature. However, in a bizarre turn of events , the player signed an extension in June committing his long term future to the Catalan club.

However, with the signing of Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid confirmed in the last few days, Pedro faces renewed doubts over his future role for the club.

And the Express has now reported that Barcelona are open to offers for the versatile forward and will be willing to let him leave should they receive an offer in the region of £20 million. It represents a bargain for a player who has scored 98 goals in over 300 appearances for perhaps the best club side in history.

An attack featuring the deadly duo of Pedro and Delay on the brings will be a dream come true for every United fan. Pedro, meanwhile ,will be looking for a fresh start at a new club after speding the entirety of his career at Barcelona.
