Manchester United On The VERGE Of WORLD CLASS Striker Signing

After a summer where United lost two elite strikers in Colombian Radamel Falcao (loan) and Dutch man Robin van Persie. The Manchester based club have set about looking for replacements and have identified Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller and Barcelona man Pedro.

Manchester United have set about their transfer business this summer in impressive fashion by securing midfielders; Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger and Italian fullback, Matteo Darmian. They have reportedly set their eyes on attacking reinforcements after losing the aforementioned fowards and only replacing them with Dutch young star Memphis Depay.

It remains to be seen if a move to Manchester United will tempt Thomas Muller from his hometown club where he has spent all his career. Coupled with the departure of vice-captain, Bastian Schweinsteiger, it would require an extraordinary offer to make the Bayern hierarchy consider a deal.

The situation of Barcelona winger Pedro appears much more possible due to the player angling for more playing time after seeing his playing time reduced due to the phenomenal form of front three; Neymar, Suarez and Messi. He reportedly has a reasonable release clause at €30 million which wouldn’t prove to be a stumbling block for a club of United’s stature.

Thomas Muller would be a fantastic addition to the team but the complications involved in taking him away from the Bavarians should prove too difficult for this deal to materialise. The deal for Pedro appears easier and with Ed Woodward conducting his business in swift fashion this summer. We should just keep our fingers crossed and watch as it unfolds. One thing remains certain, United will sign a forward this summer.
