Manchester United Plan January Move For 15 Goals 17 Assists Striker

Manchester United are reportedly on alert over the performances of Bournemouth Matt Richie. The Scottish player’s remarkable form last season helped catapult Bournemouth into the Barclays Premier League for the first time in their history.

The 25 year old bagged 15 goals last season while also adding 17 assists. This performances of the Scottish man is said to have caught the attention of United who are casting an eye of progress for the 25 year old. Matt Richie has failed to register a goal and an assist which does not reflect his performances for Bournemouth so far this season. The 25 year old has managed to establish himself as a force to reckon with and is regarded as a lethal weapon in the arsenal of Eddie Howe.

According to reports, Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is highly considering making a move for Matt Richie due to the lack of squad depth in that area. The Dutchman has already sent Belgian youngster Adnan Januzaj on loan to Dortmund which leaves the likes of Depay , Valencia and Young as the only present wingers in the squad.

Although Mata has been used widely in the wing position this season, the Spaniard’s weakness being played in that role is glaring. However it remains to be seen how credible the news of Richie to United is as the 25 year old does not seem to be a player of United’s standard. Nevertheless, United are facing issues with their attack so far this season and it seems unlikely for Louis Van Gaal not to make an attacking purchase in the January transfer window.
