Manchester United Plan January Move For Powerful 6ft 3″ CB, Available For £30m

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a January bid for Real Madrid’s defender Raphael Varane.

Since appointed in the summer of last year, Louis Van Gaal started a rebuilding effort but failed to land any centre back since joining the Red Devils.

However, during the summer, Manchester United tabled bids for Sergio Ramos but Los Blancos refused to accept any of the offers and they have no turned their attention to his team mate Varane.

With the January transfer window in sight, Louis Van Gaal is keen on bolstering his thin central defensive line with Raphael Varane.

Manchester United will make a move for the tough-tackling defender when the transfer market re-opens in January, as per talkSport.

The former Lens centre back is a mainstay for Real Madrid and his country and has been instrumental to the recent successes of Los Blancos. It will be difficult for Madrid to allow the player leave but with the right money United can still sing the 22-year-old.

Meanwhile, Manchester United to be playing against Manchester City in a derby match this weekend. A win for United will see them above City and they might top the table.
