Manchester United Plan Signing Of Chelsea Target, £20m Deal On The Card

Twenty-time Premier League champions Manchester United are interesting in luring Anderlecht star Youri Tielemans to Old Trafford, as per Het Laatste Nieuws [via the Manchester Evening News].

Tielemans is one of Europe’s hottest properties and several European sides have paid court to the Belgian youngster, with the above named source naming Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona as two of those potential suitors.

At 18, Tielemans has become a pivotal figure at Anderlecht and has made over 70 appearances for the Belgian outfit in his short footballing career. The teenager has caught the eyes of scouts with his accurate passing and great vision, coupled with his trickery and power.

However, Tielemans could be expensive for any club as he recently penned a fresh five-year deal at Anderlecht. He burst onto the scene as a 16-year old to become the youngest ever Belgian to feature in the Champions League, and has been a subject of interest from various sides.

With the likes of Michael Carrick and Bastian Schweinsteiger all past 30, United will be looking to bring in the next generation of central midfielders.
