Louis Van Gaal Confirms "New" Left Forward Signing Is Done

Manchester United Ready to Beat Liverpool and Arsenal to Sign African Winger in a 22m Deal

When Manchester United let go of Nani, questions were asked. He was on top of his form under Sir Alex. But the player failed to make any real impact and lost his guaranteed starting spot. Also the signing of Angel Di Maria made him feel inferior.

However, eventually Manchester United also had to sell Di Maria only after one season. Then the fans thought that they will be able to rely on the likes of Memphis, Valencia, Young and Janujaj. But things didn’t work well in this season as well.

Young and Valencia has been regularly playing at the back as fullbacks. Janujaj has been loaned to Dortmund and on the other hand Memphis has been struggling to find anything close to consistency.

Well, unlike the era of Sir Alex, Manchester United has been spending a lot of money under LVG. Football freaks won’t be surprised if they see Manchester United spending more than 100M in this season as well.

For strengthening the wing position, they are eying the signing of Moroccan winger Sofiane Boufal. The 22 year old Lille player has already found himself in the radar of EPL giants like Arsenal and Liverpool. Now Manchester United has joined the race as well.

So far in this season, Boufal has appeared in 15 matches in which he scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist. Scoring goals has been the biggest problem for Manchester United this season. Thus, they could use the scoring ability of Boufal. PSG has already sealed the Ligue 1 title at midway.

Lille doesn’t have that much ambition this season as well. Moreover, the club is going through some financial crisis. It is quite obvious that they will have to let go of their top players to bring some stability to the financial condition.

Even though Lille is in financial jeopardy, they won’t sell Boufal for anything less than 22m. As there are multiple big competitors, Lille can hope to earn a big amount with the selling of Boufal. So far, Liverpool seems to be the most interested team to get Boufal.
