Manchester United ready to seal transfer of Celtic youngster
Manchester United have always looked long term when making transfers and place a great deal of trust in their youth system. This season has seen the meteoric rise of Marcus Rashford, who graduated from the Manchester United youth ranks and is now seen as one of England’s best prospects.
They are continuing to look to the future as they chase Celtic youngster Daniel Church. They think Church is an excellent prospect and will turn into a fantastic player one day. At 15 years old, the player has a few years until he would start in the first team but United are definitely keen on bringing him in.
United had been interested in his teammate Jack Aitchison, 16-year-old forward, who has recently been on the fringes of Ronny Deila’s first team, until the player signed a three-year contract last month.
United have now redirected their attentions to Church as part of a drive to add new talent to the youth ranks at United, who are looking to boost their U18 talent pool as part of their reform of the academy setup.
Manchester United have signed a string of young players lately, with, Swiss striker Nishan Burkhart, Dutch attacker Tahith Chong and Lee O’Connor from Watford all arriving at Old Trafford. Church could be the next youngster to join the elite academy that has produced some of the best players in the world.
