Manchester United Receives NEWS On Sergio Ramos Signing From Real Madrid

Sergio Ramos still holds the hopes of moving to Manchester United this summer despite Real Madrid’s refusal to let him leave, Goal confirms. Ramos been the subject of two transfer bids from United and the player has reportedly told Madrid he wants to leave.

Meanwhile, Los Blancos do not want to sell and have believed having made him club captain after Casillas’ recent departure to Porto, Ramos would stay.

According to Squawka, despite assuming that role though, the former Sevilla defender’s future is still up in the air with Marca claiming he wants to leave.

Earlier last months, reports had it that Ramos wants to leave the Bernabeu because the club has refused to pay him wages near to the one earned by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Another reason is the Spanish champions’ ill-treatment meted out to former manager, Carlo Ancelotti as a result of the Italian’s inability to win a single trophy last season. Ramos in clearly not happy about this.

As per the Metro, the 28-year old defender has now called United boss, Louis Van Gaal to reassure him he is still interested in moving to Old Trafford this summer.

If Madrid decide to sell however, they want £63million at least, as per Metro and United are sure not prepared to pay that huge amount for a player who is getting closer to the end of his career.

Meanwhile, Madrid believe United can pay that huge fee
Ramos is also known to be sometimes erratic and aggressive, which is highly risky as a defender, although his ability as a world class defender is not in doubt.

Football pundit, Jamie Carragher had said of the 29-year old to talkSPORT,:”he is rash at times, he has moments of madness and does get overly emotional. That’s always been a problem for him. But if he’s not rated as one of the world’s best players, who is?’

Although he ended last season without a silverware, Ramos has won the Champions League, three La Liga titles and two Copa Del Rey titles with Real Madrid.

Furthermore, reports also say the English club would want to include goalkeeper David De Gea – who Madrid want – in a player plus cash move for Ramos. Both clubs are believed to be playing hard balls, and it remains to be seen how this whole transfer saga ends.

So far, United boss Louis Van Gaal has recruited four new players as the club’s summer revamp gathers pace.

Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin have all joined the club from PSV, Torino, Bayern and Southampton respectively.

Valencia’s Nicolas Otamendi still remains a possible defensive target for Man United, should Ramos’ move fall through.

Also, Radamel Falcao, Luis Nani and Robin Van Persie have left, with the first joining Chelsea and the other two signing with Fenerbahce in Turkey.
