Manchester United Representatives Trying to Finalize Deal for Belgian Striker before Deadline

Man Utd, along with Liverpool, have joined the pursuit of Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi, according to latest reports. North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham have already been interested in the Belgian international for quite some time now.

Daily Mail reports that scouts from Premier League clubs Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham and Aston Villa were all present in the Marseille’s league game with Lyon on Sunday.

The 22-year old has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances for his club this season. He recently signed a five-year contract extension with the Ligue 1 club and won’t be available for cheap in the transfer market.

He is currently valued at £25m by his club. The report also claims that West Ham have a slight advantaged in the pursuit of the player as they have previously negotiated with player’s agent Mark McKay during the signing of Dimitri Payet and have a good working relationship with him.
