Manchester United Set To Sign £65,000-A-Week Champions League Winner
Per the Daily Star, Manchester United are once again being linked with a move for Real Madrid shot stopper, Keylor Navas.
The club sees the Madrid safest pair of gloves as the right man to replace David De Gea, whose move to Real Madrid is said to be imminent. Reports have suggested that the Spanish international wants his move to Madrid finalized, and van Gaal is giving nothing to chance to try and seal the deal for the player.
The ongoing contract impasse involving the Red Devils and David De Gear appears to be heading only one direction; it seems the player’s mind is made up. Though, he still has one season left on his contract, his future is nonetheless set to be elsewhere as he has refused to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Though, he remains a United player, the fact that he has failed to put pen to paper on a new deal with the league opener against Tottenham only a couple of days away, means the Red Devils have to consider other possibilities.
Nava was a United target earlier in the window, but reports linking him with the club soon faded away with time. However, like a recurring decimal, the player is again being linked with a move to the Red Devils.
Man United have already secured the signing of Argentinean goalkeeper at the last Copa America, Sergio Romero, but could be set to lose Victor Valdes due to irreconcilable differences between the former Barca keeper and Louis van Gaal.
