Manchester United STARTS Move To Sign High Rated Chelsea Target

The Red Devils are considering making a stunning swoop on Leeds United for promising full-back Charlie Taylor as a replacement for the injured Luke Shaw, claim the Daily Star.

It is claimed Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is a huge fan of Taylor and has sent the Red Devils scouts to watch the defender in action. The Dutchman is now pondering making a bid for the Leeds left-back in January.

Taylor has emerged as one of the brightest prospects for Uwe Rosler’s side following hordes of admirable displays for Leeds. The 21-year old made his Leeds debut in 2011, but has been farmed out on loan spells to clubs like Bradford, York and Fleetwood. He is now settled and establishing himself in Rosler’s team and is gaining rave reviews.

The Englishman could now be closing in on a dream move to Manchester United. Van Gaal has been keeping tabs on Taylor in order to make a move to sign him next summer, but the injury to Luke Shaw appears to have sprung up things.

According to the aforementioned source, Shaw could face 10 months on the sidelines after suffering a leg break during United’s Champions League game against Eindhoven on Tuesday. This has left the former Netherlands boss short of options in the defence, and a bid of £4m is expected to be lodged for Taylor’s signature in the new year.

Shaw had a surgery on his leg on Tuesday evening and it has been reported that the England international is set to go under the knife once more on Friday as part of his recovery.

With the Euro 2016 in France gradually approaching, Shaw could miss the trip if he still remains in the treatment room by then.
