Manchester United Suffer Massive DOUBLE Injury Blow Ahead UCL Clash

It is apparent that United will have to play against Wolfsburg tonight in their Champion’s league clash without some key midfielders. This is because of the injury bug that seems to be flying around the United team right now.

The match against Wolfsburg is a must win match for United as they have already lost their opening match and will not want to lose 3 points again from their second match, especially in front of the home fans at Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia are players who will most likely not feature in the clash as both players are not fit for the match and to worsen the injury plague, Van Gaal has confirmed to ESPN FC that Michael Carrick might also not feature tonight. The Dutchman was quoted as saying; “I think that Michael Carrick shall not play tomorrow (Wednesday). The other two, we have to wait and see.”

United boss, Louis Van Gaal insists that he does not want to aggravate the injuries as they are minor injuries but could easily get worse if they are featured in tonight’s match as crucial as the tie is. He used Wayne Rooney’s injury as an example when he said, “They have minor injuries so I don’t want to take any risk like we have done with Wayne Rooney.” Van Gaal says he is being careful because of the premiership and the fixtures ahead. This could be because of the tie against Arsenal in the premiership which is United’s next match in the English League Competition.

Luke Shaw and Marcus Rojo are also players that will not feature in tonight’s clash against Wolfsburg as they did not take part in the training ahead of the match.

All is left to be seen if these plans and rotations might work for United in the two matches.
