Manchester United Target Set For Arsenal Medical On Tuesday, Ed Woodward Beaten Again

The off-pitch battle, in the transfer market, between Arsenal and their arch Rival Manchester United may be on the verge of ending as Arsenal are set to announce the signing of Karim Benzema from Real Madrid next Tuesday as per The Daily Star.

Manchester united have been unproductive upfront as there three Premier League outings saw them scoring two goals so far this season bringing their impotency in front of goal to bare.  The Red Devils have been looking to add a quality striker in their squad and went after Benzema. However, it is reported that the Red Devil’s dream of landing Karim Benzema may not see the light of the day anymore as Arsenal are now in pole position to sign the prolific French forward.

According to the Daily Star, the Gunners may announce Benzema as their player by next Tuesday following Madrid’s consideration of £45million for the player. The news as credited to Emanuele Giulianelli on his Twitter handle:

“Imminent closing of Benzema to Arsenal: Tuesday could be the day of medicals and announcement.”

Even though the reports were perceived as unreliable, Rodney Marsh told TalkSport that,

“I had a phone call from a mate of mine, and he’s been right on many things, and he said that he believes Real Madrid have accepted a bid somewhere in the region of £48million for Benzema from Arsenal.”

Rodney Marsh is an ex-QPR player.

The 27-year-old attacker scored 133goals in his 281appearances for the Los Blancos. Little, wonder why he was sought after by the arch rivals.
