If reports from German media out let BILD is anything worth taking serious, Manchester United could announce the signing of German world cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger as early as month.
BILD who are quite reliable are certain the deal will happen and United will be paying as little as £18 million for the German legend. According to an earlier report by the same paper, the player has been offered a three years contract by Manchester United which will see him earn £136,000 per week to make him one of the club’s highest paid players.
This news has got many United fans on twitter and other social media networks excited and rightly so. The club has been lacking a Michael Carrick like figure in the midfield. United struggled so many times last season when Michael Carrick is out injured or on suspension.
Schweinsteiger’s success in the game and his leadership will come handy for Louis Van Gaal’s team next season as they compete for honours both domestically and in Europe. It will however be interesting to see who drops out of the team for the German. Will he be coming to take Carrick’s place or will he play alongside the Englishman in midfield?
