Manchester United To ANNOUNCE Four Transfer BUSINESSES This Week

Things are always far from quiet at a club as big and as successful as Manchester United. This transfer summer has been no exception, with the club seemingly linked with all the top players available in the market. However, things have been eerily quiet so far at Old Trafford with only two new signings confirmed by the club in the form of Memphis Depay and Matteo Darmain. However, as the transfer window finally clicks into gear, United fans are bracing themselves for a raft of new signings, with several players linked with moves in recent days.

Here we take a look at some likely transfer activity set to take place at Old Trafford in the coming week:

  1. Bastian Schweinsteiger – Incoming

Perhaps the big name transfer United fans were hoping for. The German national captain is reportedly unhappy at his situation at the Bavarians , where he has been forced to contend with a role from the bench, resulting due to the fierce competition within the Bayern ranks for a spot in the first choice eleven.

With just one year left on his current deal, Schweinsteiger has been frequently linked with a move to Old Trafford, where Louis van Gaal is rumored to be keen to link up with his former protege. The 31-year-old midfielder, who has made 342 league appearances for the German champions after rising within the club’s ranks, has the experience and technical ability that Van Gaal craves in his midfield. The player is allegedly close to joining the Red Devils after several outlets in the UK reported that he has agreed personal terms with the club and is due a medical on Sunday.

With Van Gaal wishing to add experience to an exuberant midfield next season , Schweinsteiger appears the perfect fit for the role. A deal is close to completion and the experienced German , who holds a grand total of 111 national caps for the world cup winners, can become a United player as early as the start of next week.

  1. Nicolas Gaitan – Incoming

A player that has been forever linked with the Red Devils. The 27-year-old has been a long term target for Manchester United , with the club’s first attempt to sign the Argentine winger dating back to the Sir Alex Ferguson days. With recent reports suggesting that Manchester United have reignited their interest in the Benfica winger, and are planning to propose a deal in the coming days which will see Brazilian full back Rafael da Silva moving in the other direction, Gaitan’s days at the Portuguese giants appear numbered. A move is said to be really close to conclusion, and United may finally land the player next week, after several years of trying.

  1. David de Gea – Outgoing

Perhaps the worst kept secret of the transfer window , David De Gea’s long mooted move to Real Madrid finally appears close to conclusion, as Manchester United have reportedly caved in to the player’s demands that he wants  to return to his native Madrid this summer itself rather than the next. While De Gea was widely tipped to join the Los Blancos one way or the other, United hierarchy were split in their desire. Some wanted to cash in on the player while they could still  recoup a fee for him . Others preferred to keep him for another season seeing how integral he has been to the team in the last two seasons.

However, any decision was put out of their hands with the 24-year-old claiming that he wants a transfer to materialize soon. Reports surfacing in the media are now claiming that the two clubs have agreed a yet undisclosed fee and De Gea will be announced as a Real Madrid player before the end of next week.

  1. Morgan Schneiderlin

Last night news broke that Manchester United has completed the signing for the now former Southampton player. Arsenal were thought to be interested in the player and many United fans had thought the Gunners will get the player since Wenger almost always gets his way with French players.

However, it seems United have got the high rated defensive midfielder. Many reports has it that he has even had his medical with the club yesterday and an announcement may be made of his signing alongside that of Darmian and Schweinsteiger this week
