After several weeks of intense speculations and suspense, it appears that English Club side Southampton and France star, Morgan Schneiderlin, is finally on his way to the Old Trafford; despite recent stealthy attempts by London outfit, Arsenal to sign the player.
Reports emanating from England categorically state that talks between the Saints and United, over the player’s transfer, have reached an advanced level; with the reports also confirming that a transfer fee of around £20 million, which, depending on the player’s performance at United could potentially rise to £25 million, has been agreed upon and a deal could be announced as early as Tuesday next week.
The pacy, hard-tackling 25 year old midfielder, who possesses admirable passing skills, a deft touch, as well as the required physicality and technical know-how necessary to perform at the top level, was undoubtedly one of the Saints’ top performers last season; and has been mooted to be a direct replacement for the ageing
Manchester United maestro, Michael Carrick.
It is expected that United would announce his arrival soonest; whilst it is also believed that the player, alongside marquee summer signing Memphis Depay, will add an extra cutting edge to the bite of the United team, as they look to bounce back from what was an unimpressive 2014/2015 season.
