Manchester United’s summer business seems to be burning hot, with the Metro claiming that the Old Trafford club have agreed personal terms with the Lazio midfielder.
Manchester United have had a fantastic summer with club chief executive Ed Woodward conducting their transfer business in swift fashion. One would be forgiven to think that after the signings of Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton and Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bundesliga winners, Bayern Munich that the club would seek other areas of the team needing strengthening.
Boasting central midfielders Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Maroune Fellaini plus the aforementioned signings, it appeared that the club would not be signing another central midfielder but The Metro have reported that a deal in the region of £40 million is on the cards with Serie A side Lazio to bring their combative midfielder to England.
With personal terms reportedly agreed as per Metro, it appears to just be a matter of time before both clubs reach an agreement on the transfer fee. The source also claim that LvG contacted the player’s agent at Anderlecht to help provide information on his suitability to his side and it appears that the feedback was positive with a move reportedly imminent.
