Manchester United To Announce Transfer Of £120,000-A-Week Two Times UCL Winner

Besiktas have made a move for want-away Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes and have offered the Spaniard a two-year deal, with an option for a third, as per a Daily Mail report.

Valdes is destined for the exit out of Old Trafford this summer after being left out of United’s pre-season tour squad that went to the United States of America, having had a fall-out with boss Louis van Gaal. The 33-year old came to disagreement with the Dutch boss and the Red Devils’ management for his refusal to follow one of the club’s “philosophy” of playing for the Under-21s – something Robin van Persie, Adnan Januzaj and even Radamel Falcao did last season without complaining.

The 20-time Premier League champions are now keen to get him off their wages and Besiktas are close to signing him. The report from the Daily Mail says talks are ongoing between the Turkish club and Valdes, with all parties involve presently discussing terms at the Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel in Monte Carlo. It is understood the president of Besiktas, Fikret Orman, is personally handling the negotiations and has offered the former Barcelona icon a two-year deal, with the option of a third.

It has been suggested Valdes will replace David De Gea as the Red Devils’ first choice between the goal posts but the 33-year old has lost that chance, with new signing Sergio Romero deputising between the sticks in the absence of the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper.

Valdes was offered the opportunity of training with Man United after recovering from a knee injury in October, and the Spanish ace later joined the club on a free. He is now set to end his abysmal spell at the Mancunian club.

An accomplished international, Valdes has won the World Cup with Spain and the Champions League trophy with Barcelona on three occasions. He has also won six La Liga, two Copa Del Reys and two Super Cups amongst others.

Meanwhile, De Gea could also get his future sorted out before the end of the transfer window, with reports saying Man United are ready to accept Real Madrid’s £30m offer, as super agent Morge Mendes has been called in by the 24-year shot-stopper to finalise the deal.
