Manchester United To ANNOUNCE Transfer Of Striker By 6pm

In a couple of hours from now, Manchester United will formally announce that they have reached an agreement with Turkish club, Fenerbahce over the transfer of Dutch striker, Robin Van Persie.

The Turkish club, through its website, announced that the player will be unveiled this evening at 18:00. Already, the Dutch captain has passed a medical, with other minor details of his contract being sorted out as we write.

He was pictured flying to Turkey on Sunday amidst reports of a deal, which will see him leave England after spending several seasons with both Arsenal and Manchester United. Though, the deal was completed over the weekend, according to Goal, a few details in the final contract held up the announcement; but it seems those have now been taken care of, and the player will be unveiled later today.

Signing Van Persie is a major coup for the Turkish giants, who by the way are rebuilding their team as they want to compete to win the title, last won by their bitter rivals Galatasaray.

Only last week, the club announced the signing of former Man United winger, Nani, who signed alongside Simon Kjaer from Lille as they continue to strengthen their team against next season.

The Dutchman will be fondly remembered by Man United fans as the player who helped them to their 20th league title. However, he remains one player most Arsenal fans will want to forget in a hurry for dumping the Gunners for their bitter rivals three seasons ago.
