Latest reports monitored have shown that Manchester United are set to step up their raid of Bayern Munich with their eyes set on Mario Gotze and Bastian Schweinsteiger. They have offered up in exchange with last season flop, Angel Di Maria in part exchange, according to The Daily Express.
The 27 year-old Argentine has struggled to make any impact in his debut campaign with Manchester United, recall that he moved from Real Madrid for a British record sign on fee of £59.7 million last summer. Although he possessed an impressive assists record, with massive 11 assists, the second best in the English league behind Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas. However Schweinsteiger who is 30, at the prime of his playing career has played under van Gaal at Bayern five years ago, with Dutchman also searching for a new midfielder knowing that Michael Carrick, 33, is struggles with injury and Gotze suffered a similar fate as that of Di Maria he was dropped for both the German Cup and Champions League semi finals last season.
