As per talkSport via turkishfootball.com, Manchester United midfield giant, Maroune Fellaini is a target for Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
The 27-year old oined Manchester United in the summer of 2013 following in the footsteps of boss David Moyes. The Belgian struggled for form and fitness under the Scottish coach but experienced a renaissance in the latter part of last season under Dutch manager Louis van Gaal. A string of impressive perfomance earned him a key role in the latter stages of the season as the Red Devils secured Champions League qualification.
This summer has seen United make waves in the transfer market after they secured the services of midfielders Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton and Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich. Their arrivals has sparked a stiff competiton for places in midfield as they join Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind and the aforementioned Fellaini. With van Gaal playing just two midfielders in his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, speculations have been rife linking the Belgian with an exit from Old Trafford.
United have secured maximum points in the two matches they’ve played this season with Fellaini not playing any role in them.
Warren Haughton speaking exclusively on the Insider Trading Show revealed Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are both interested in the Belgium international. “Well, there is interest from Fenerbahce and Galatsaray as well so obviously Fenerbahce signed Van Persie and Nani as well so that would be interesting”.
