Manchester United To COMPLETE Two Deals This Week

Manchester United are on the verge of completing the sale of Angel Di Maria and Rafael Da Silva. Di Maria, 27, has agreed a 44million pounds move to Paris Saint-Germain. He will be followed out the exit door by Rafael Da Silva. The 25-year-old right back is set to join Lyon for 2.5million pounds. Both players are expected to complete medicals today.

Di Maria refused to join United’s pre-season tour of the America and has instead jetted off to Qatar to complete his deal.

Rafael was told he could leave United earlier this summer after been left out of the squad for the pre-season tour of the United States. President of Lyon Jean-Michel Aulas announced this morning that the Brazilian International was in the French city ahead of a move. “Rafael has arrived from Manchester United, we are waiting for an agreement with Manchester United about his transfer,” Aulas tweeted.

Angel Di Maria joined Manchester United last summer from Real Madrid for a British record transfer, but he has failed to settle at the club. The Argentine International played just 27games for United, he made 10 assists which was more than any other Manchester United player despite his injuries and poor form.

Rafael arrived at Old Trafford in 2008, highlight of his career came in 2012, where he played a vital role in helping \united claiming the Premier league title. Due to a host of injuries, Rafael was limited to few first -team football during the 2013/14 season and following the arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager last season, the writing has been on the wall for the 25-year-old.
