Manchester United Told Henrikh Mkhitaryan Is All Yours For £30m

Manchester United have been seeking the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan for some time now and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly starting to crack.

Despite Manchester United’s initial £19 million bid being swiftly dismissed by Dortmund, the Armenian attacker’s agent, Mino Raiola, is restlessly trying to push the deal through.

According to reports by the Metro, Borussia Dortmund have told Manchester United that Mkhitaryan is available for £30 million and despite the many rumours surrounding the deal, sources close to the on-going negotiations reckon United are confident of making him their second major signing of the summer. The bookies are rarely wrong and the odds look in favour that he will make the move this summer. The best place for punters to get sports betting tips and game analysis also confirm this happening.

Mourinho has already landed Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal in a £30m deal.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke was adamant that Mkhitaryan would stay but the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, confirmed he would still push for a move to Old Trafford this summer.

The 27-year-old ace has one year left on his contract and has informed Dortmund he wants to leave this summer. With both Arsenal and Manchester United keen on signing Mkhitaryan he seems more interested in moving on than spending another season at Westfalenstadion. Unlike Manchester United, Dortmund will be playing Champions League next season, but are resigned to the likely fact they will be without Mkhitaryan. The Armenian has been a huge part of BVB’s successful campaign. He has scored a total of 19 goals and had a whopping 24 assists for the Germans in all competitions this season.

Dortmund are already looking for his replacement. Many names have been mentioned in the discussion of who will replace Mkhitaryan. Andre Schurrle seems to be the most certain successor. Wolfsburg have even been contacted by Dortmund with tentative enquiries as to the availability of Schurrle.

Mino Raiola has been desperately pushing for a deal to United. It may be the only chance the 27-year-old Armenian has of playing with a world class team. In an interview to Sport1 Raiola said:

“I am very proud that Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere,”’ he added. “Mkhitaryan’s fire power would undoubtedly be a great addition to Mourinho’s side.”

“Manchester are Micki’s dream club, he wants to join them by any means. It would be a sin to stop talking.”

The Bundesliga side, despite their best efforts, are resigned to losing Mkhitaryan should United come up with the cash. It is understood the bid includes add-ons that would take the deal past the £30m mark if he is a success at Old Trafford.
