Manchester United Vs Liverpool FC Team News: Carrick, De Gea Boost For United; Benteke Fit For Liverpool

Ahead of Manchester United game with the Kop, the cheering news for United Michael Carrick may be in contention for a starting place; Del Bosque has certified De Gea fit to play again. Then for Liverpool fans, despite being withdrawn at half-time in Belgium match, Christian Benteke is without injury and will feature in the clash.

In between the sticks of United, De Gea will be expected to back after a deal to Los blancos collapsed. The manager of the Spanish national team has given his full backing to De Gea to return as he believes the player is capable of moving-on and get focused for the season ahead.

Romero was horrendous for United against Swansea and Van Gaal will be wary of handing the keeper a start. Another doubt for the Liverpool game is Carrick, who just returned from an injury but has started training but there is no telling if the midfielder will be fit for the clash.

As for Liverpool, the course of last season was challenging for Brendan Rodgers who was without his main man Sturridge for the most part of last season. For this season, new signing Benteke missed the first game of his national team during the interlull but featured in the second.

However, Benteke was substituted at half time in the second game but the manager of Belgium has confirmed that the withdrawal of Benteke from the match has nothing to do with injury as it was a tactical decision.

Finally, the Kop will be without Coutinho after suspension and Jordan Henderson might be fit for the game. Following the antecedent of both teams, we will have an interesting match to see.
