Marco Reus To Become A Gunner In Days? Deal Looking Likely

Transfer speculations linking German winger Marco Reus with an exit from Borussia Dortmund seem to have died down but German newspaper Sport Bild have now linked him with a move to London.

Due to the new Premier League TV deal, EPL clubs now have more money available to spend on transfers and wages. This has also led to a splurge of ridiculous transfer news linking almost every known player to an English club. The major news making the headline today has it that Arsenal are lining up a bid as high as €68 million to seal a deal for Marco Reus.

Reus had been linked to a plethora of top clubs across Europe but he signed a contract before the end of last season to extend his stay at the Westfalenstadion thereby suggesting that it would put an end to speculation linking him with an exit. Unfortunately for Dortmund who had to endure a disappointing campaign last term as they could not qualify for the UEFA Champions League the news linking star man with an exit would not be pleasant to the ears of the board members.

Marco Reus struggled with constant injury problems last season but still made a healthy contribution of 11 goals in 29 appearances for his club. The German winger is a quality player and would be a massive upgrade to any squad.

Arsenal’s interest in the winger confirms that the club are on the look out for a star in their attack and if their pursuit becomes succesful, it would be a great coup for the club and further reinforce their title credentials as they bid to lift the Premier League trophy. A trophy that has eluded them since their unbeaten 2004 campaign.
