According to reports making the rounds in France, Monaco are willing to sell their forward Martial to Manchester United on the condition that €60 million and Marcos Rojo are included as part of the deal, (Via Get French football news).
Following the Red Devils failure to secure the signature of Pedro and the apparent departure of Javier Hernandez and Adnan Januzaj from Old Trafford, the Red Devils have emerged with a surprise move for the 19-year-old France forward – it is understood that Monaco have rejected a bid of €50 million for the player by United.
However, the reports say both clubs are still discussing the deal with United agreeing to add €5 million to their initial bid but Monaco have slapped United with a €60 million plus Rojo or no deal tag for the forward.
United are not expected to accept such terms for the inexperienced player – he has failed to score a single goal this season and managed to score only nine goals in the course of the last campaign.
The offer for Martial has been described panic. However, United are expected to sign a centre forward following the poor form of Rooney.
Should Chicharito and Januzaj leave the club this season, Wayne Rooney will be left as the only centre forward in the club and he is been drifting to the middle in most of United games.
