MASSIVE INJURY BOOST – At Least 3 Players Back Against Arsenal
In some good news for Reds’ fans, Kop legend Mark Lawrenson has predicted that at least three of the Liverpool players will recover from their injury problems to play against the Gunners.
“Sure, we’ll be missing several players, but Klopp won’t use that as an excuse. It is what it is – he’ll just get on with it. But the fact Kolo Toure, Mamadou Sakho and perhaps Jordon Ibe could be back will be a relief,” Lawrenson wrote in the Mirror.
The Reds will still have the likes of Martin Skrtel, Dejan Lovren, Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge, Jordon Ibe, Philippe Coutinho and Danny Ings missing due to injuries.
But Lawrenson still expects the Reds to provide a stern test to the Gunners. He writes: “What will help is that Arsenal — and United — will come out to play football. It isn’t in their DNA so sit back and defend. When you look at Crystal Palace, West Brom, Southampton and Norwich, they all sat back and we struggled to find a way through.”
