Barcelona and former Liverpool star Luis Suarez has revealed that he remains open to returning to Anfield in future. The Uruguayan star claims that he missed the fans and atmosphere of the club and could him playing for the Reds again in future.
“You never know what might happen in the future, but if I were to return to England it would only be to play for Liverpool and never for another team,” Suarez said to ESPN.
“I’ve missed the fans. The atmosphere is incredible.”
The 29-year old stayed at Merseyside for three and a half years and scored 69 goals in 110 league appearances for the club. He won Premier League player of the season award for the 2013-14 season.
He moved to Barcelona in July 2014 in a £75 million deal and signed a five-year contract with the Catalan club. He won La Liga and Champions League titles in his first season with the club.
