Medical Passed, £29m Manchester United Target To Sign, Announcement Tomorrow – Not Pedro

The Etihad Landlords are the verge of completing a move for Nicolas Ottamendi. Just yesterday, as per the Tuesday edition of Spanish Metro, the player was flown in to Manchester City and has completed a medical with the club and is reported to still be in England with his agent Jorge Mendes.

However, the reports are still sketchy as per Sport witness; the Argentine was at Manchester hotel with his agent around lunch time and could not have completed medicals already because of the tedious process involved. The reports also stated that he wasn’t seen with any medical staff of City.

Marca are also claiming that there is no deal in place yet for the French player as Villareal has asked City to include Mangala in a swap deal but City are reluctant to let go off their most expensive defender. It is understood that Mendes is the agent of both Ottamendi and Mangala which leaves so much to be desired of the report.

Notwithstanding, Mangala’s claim may be incorrect, but the Spanish press are certain that Valencia wanted the player in place of Ottamendi.

Should the deal not be completed by tomorrow, Ottamendi is expected to return back to Spain as a deadline has been set for the deal.

It was thought that a deal had been finally agreed between City and Villareal which accounted for why the player travelled to England with his Agent.
