Michael Emenalo In France To Complete Signing Of £39m UCL Q/Finalist For Chelsea

Chelsea Technical Director Michael Emenalo was reportedly at the Mestalla stadium in Spain for the Champions League play-off match between Valencia and Monaco, casting an eye over Chelsea target Anthony Martial while also scouting potential Champions league opponents between either of the two clubs.

The 19 year old has been a subject of interest for Premier League clubs, with Chelsea, Aston Villa and Tottenham all rumoured to be interested in the French footballer. The Monaco striker is believed to be valued around 22 million pounds for any club willing to snap him up. Chelsea have reportedly made a bid of 40 million pounds for the Monanco striker who has one more year left in his contract.

Monaco will be desperate to keep Anthony Martial at the club but are unlikely to reject such a big money bid for the 19 year old. The French forward was a regular in the first-team last season, scoring 12 goals in all competitions for the club. So far this season Anthony Martial has a goal and two assists in four matches this season. The skillful forward is widely regarded as one of most exciting prospects to look out for.

Anthony Martial clinical finishing and ability to hold on to the ball sets him apart from other youngsters. However as things stand, this story could be nothing more than a speculation. Chelsea are unlikely to pay that much for a 19 year old especially with the number of attack options present in the team. A move such as this can only happen when one or two players have been cleared out of the team.
