Mourinho To Be Sacked – Claims Reliable Journalist/Ex Footballer

Amidst the recent crisis surrounding Chelsea, former England player Rodney Marsh has stated that the reigning Premier League champions should give the boot to boss Jose Mourinho, as claimed by talkSPORT.

Mourinho’s side have been alarmingly poor this season and they currently find themselves 16th on the Premier League table, ten points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Blues were defeated 3-1 by Southampton on Sunday – their fourth defeat in the league – meaning they now have just 8 points in eight league outings; 2 wins and 2 draws. Their title defence has now been put in shambles by these performances.

However, Mourinho was involved in a crisis meeting with the club’s top brass on Sunday evening but he survived. Chelsea have now insisted they will not make any rash decision over the self-proclaimed Special One’s future and gave him a public backing on Monday.

That has now given Mourinho ample time to turn things around and return the club to the brilliant form that saw them win the league last term.

Nevertheless, Marsh still thinks the Portuguese should leave Stamford Bridge.

“Yes. He is getting it all wrong,” Marsh stated when asked whether the 52-year old should be sacked.

“He has been one of the greatest managers in football but he is getting everything wrong. It is just one mistake after the other.

“Eden Hazard doesn’t seem like he wants to play. They are already out of the Premier League title race and they are only eight games gone.”

Mourinho has the international break to unravel the mystery and find a lasting solution to his team’s abysmal displays, as a win against Aston Villa after the break is the minimum.
