Mourinho Wants £90,000-A-Week Manchester City Target At Chelsea

Chelsea have sounded their  interest in bringing Real Madrid and Spanish star Sergio Ramos to Stamford Bridge in the Summer. Ramos may be set to make a re-union with Jose Mourinho whom he worked with between 2010 – 2013 at Real Madrid.

Premier league champion Manchester City are also said to be monitoring the player and could rival Chelsea in the pursuit of the Madridster.

Sergio Ramos brother and agent Rene confirmed receiving an offer for the player in the summer but were turned down by Real Madrid. The offer was thought to be from Chelsea and the speculation about a move have not died down as there are fresh indication of interest from Manchester City.

Ramos as a player has won all there is to win in football more so, in Madrid where he has won all there is to win in Spain so a seek for pasture new might be a factor in the player movement if he gets to move. The 28-year-old honours include;

A technically gifted player, he move the ball well with both feet and can bump forward to score those vital goals. He will always continue to attract suitors but it will be seen if Madrid are ready to do a deal for their long standing vice captain.

His recent link to Chelsea is one that looks strange though, as the player’s row with Jose Mourinho during his last year at Real Madrid is well documented. If there is one thing however, that will draw Ramos to his former boss it is his fighting spirit. Mourinho is known to love players who can give it all for the team irrespective of any row or disagreement with any member of the team. Ramos exemplified that as he was always fighting for the team his differences with Mourinho notwithstanding.

Sergio Ramos will be a great addition to the Chelsea team as every team will like to have the services of the spainard but not one that Chelsea desperately need. Chelsea have Gary Cahill and John Terry in their fold and both of them have struck a good partnership in the heart of Chelsea defence. Chelsea also have a host of cover in central defence in Branislav Ivanovic, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen. Again, at 28 Ramos cannot is not the player we expect to be a long term replacement for John Terry. Kurt Zouma, Andreas Christensen and the on-loan Kenneth Omeruo are all younger and can be the perfect replacement for John Terry.

Sergio Ramos is a fantastic player but not one that Chelsea overtly need as they have good option in his position.
