New Chelsea Manager Picked his First Signing at Stamford Bridge

Yesterday, we reported that Jose Mourinho wants to bring AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan to Old Trafford as his first signing after taking charge of the club in the summer.

Now, recent reports have suggested that Mourinho’s previous club Chelsea are also interested in the Belgian international.

Italian source Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the Blues are interested in a summer move for the 27-year old. It also claims that Italian national team manager Antonio Conte is favourite to take charge at Stamford Bridge in summer and has liked Nainggolan ever since his days in Serie A.

The report further adds that Chelsea scouts have been monitoring the player for some time now, and the club is prepared to make a summer bid for him.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has earlier claimed that Jose Mourinho has identified the destructive midfielder as a possible target after he takes charge at United in summer.

If these reports are to be believed, AS Roma could financially benefit from the two-way race for their player.

Nainggolan has been playing for Roma since 2014 and featured in the Serie A Team of the year for the 2014-15 season.
Italian manager Antonio Conte is a clear favourite for Chelsea job at the moment and official announcement should be coming within next few weeks.
