Brazilian prodigy, Robert Kenedy has announced he has completed his move to Chelsea via Snapchat, as per Metro.
Although there has not been any official confirmation of the transfer by the Blues, Kenedy, according to the source, took to Snapchat and shared a photo of his boots at the Cobham training complex on Monday ahead of an afternoon training session.
The 19-year old’s former club Fluminense announced last month that Kenedy has been sold to a club but they failed to name the club. Brazilian newspaper, Globo Esporte, however named Chelsea as the club.
The “New Neymar” underwent a medical with Chelsea last week with the Independent having reported that the official announcement was imminent.
Robert Kenedy – who was also a target for Man United – will most definitely be sent out on loan to gain more experience and play time. For now at least, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho may see the youngster as ‘not yet ready’ to compete with the likes of Hazard, Willian and Cuadrado in his position.
He will be the second Brazilian to arrive Stamford Bridge this summer after Nathan, who was signed from Atletico Paranaense in May.
The Premier League champions officially confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Asmir Begovic yesterday, with the Bosnian choosing the No.1 at the back of his jersey. Colombian Striker, Radamel Falcao who also arrived earlier will have the No.9 on his Chelsea shirt for the 2015-16 season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are still locked in negotiations with Atletico for Antoine Griezmann, with the Spanish club likely to sell.
