Reports in the Metro claim that the local Brazilian media has gone as far as to saying recently that he is close to becoming a “complete player”.
With 441 successful passes in the league, Renan tops the charts for Avai and is currently the club’s best performer in terms of performance score. At the tender age of 17, the youngster has already cemented his place in the Avai first team and his commanding performances have now attracted the attention of Arsenal scouts. Wenger has now reportedly become involved in the discussions, and has been impressed by the 17-year-old’s dominant displays.
The report also states that Arsenal will only have to pay a small compensation as a fee for the player owing to his youthful age. At just 17, the youngster is definitely one for the future, and will be looking to get a run out in the cup fixtures.
