Nicolas Otamendi To FINALLY Join Manchester United, Valencia Confirms Deal – Practically

After weeks of speculation it will happen, Nicolas Otamendi’s move to Manchester United only seems a matter of time. Otamendi who plays for Spanish club Valencia is a 27 year old centre back who plays for Argentina.

The news of Manchester United signing the high rated Argentine got intensified yesterday after the player was left out of Valencia’s photoshot ahead of the new season. It is an open secret that Manchester United are in the market for another Centre back and they are interested in signing Otamendi.

Especially since Jonny Evans is widely expected to be sold and Sergio Ramos potentially proving to be pricey at £42 million. Ottamendi although would cost a similar transfer fee, does have age as a slight advantage over Ramos.

It however remains to be seen if the red devils will be willing to pay Valencia’s asking price of 50 million. But leaving Otamendi out of the club’s photoshot could well mean Valencia management believe the player will not a part of the team once the new la liga season starts.

Also, it should be noted that Valencia seem keen to sell the player ( for the right price ) hence they seem to be drumming up interest in the player using the media in Valencia. Or how do you explain the media in Valencia reporting Real Madrid are interested in signing the player when AS Sport and Marca both pro Madrid newspaper are not reporting same.
