No Benzema, But £35m WORLD Class Attacker To Have Arsenal Medical This Week

Arsenal fans are no strangers to disappointments when it comes to transfer matters especially making purchases. The club have failed in the past to bring in top players who the teeming supporters would have love to have in their club and, another frustration is about to pop up.

The Gunners have NOT made any approach for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, the Daily Star understands. And this is contrary to reports flying round yesterday that Benzema would be unveiled as an Arsenal player before Monday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli had claimed via his official Twitter account [@EmaGiulianelli]: “Arsenal are believed to have rented a Gulfstream private jet to accommodate Benzema on Sunday evening”

“He will have a medical Monday early afternoon and be confirmed just before kick off. He will stay in 5 stars hotel London center.”

Giulianelli said Benzema will join Arsenal before tonight’s match against Brendan Rodgers’ side, and the Star seem to have something different, and it is that Arsenal are yet to make an offer to Real for the former Lyon striker

Some of the Arsenal fans who have even started to get irritated by the constant rumours that “Benzema will soon be a Gunner” will now be more infuriated with this development.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star has cited reports from Spain, saying Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is set to fly into London for a medical in the coming days.

Cavani is understood to be unhappy at PSG and will welcome the chance to leave Parc des Princes for a side who can guarantee him the centre forward role. A fee of £35m is what it will cost Arsenal to bring the former Napoli goal poacher to the Emirates.

Although Arsenal fans will doubt the credibility of this report given the way reports of the Benzema transfer has panned out so far, but they will privately be hoping their club finally bring in a top notch front man who can guide the team to glory this season.
