Club More Devastating Injury Blow Ahead Of Weekend Clash

Manchester United have been dealt another intensely devastating blow as their Ecuadorian international winger turned defender, Antonio Valencia could be out of action for as much as five months with a foot injury which might require surgery to rectify.

Valencia picked up the injury in the derby against United’s noisy neighbors Manchester City and he limped off himself in the match with no one expecting that the injury will be one that will keep the player out of action for so long.

Reports are stating that the 30-year-old winger/fullback may have aggravated the foot injury when he continued playing in the same match with the injured foot instead of coming off at once immediately he got injured.

This is serious bad news for Manchester United as Ashley Young has had to be deployed to the right back position for the Red Devils with right-back Matteo Darmien also out injured.

Manchester United already have left-back Luke Shaw out injured on a long term injury and now Valencia too has joined the growing list of injured defenders. The Red Devils have had to call on youngster Cameron Johnson-Borthwick into the first team for the win over West Bromwich Albion.

United have to travel to Watford City after the international break and it remains to be seen who manager Louis Van Gaal will opt for in the match at the right-back position.
